As a race, humanity has become shut off from the world
we have retreated to the virtual realm, the quiet comfort of a screen
we are more connected than ever, yet we struggle to maintain eye contact
has it been passed down through the generations to be fearful of genuine relations?
Fearful to open our hearts to others, to see and be seen by the world
fear that world may reject us as we are.
I say to these people,
Come as you are
open your heart
speak only Truth
How is it that we have drifted so far from our roots?
There is something much more ancient inside of us all
a primal urge to be a part of a community of people
dancing barefoot around a fire to drums and war cries
under a full bellied moon
Rise
above the trends, the societal pressure
the ego
Rise and Regress
back to yourself
live directly from
the place inside of your chest
and let go of all of the rest
