– Realize that wherever you are, mentally, emotionally, physically is OK. Remind yourself that there is no right way, it’s all about doing what feels best for YOU. Give yourself the assurance that you are doing the best you can with what you have, and the permission to let go of judgements and yield to yourself, as you are, right here and right now.

– Remember that you are unique, sacred and remind yourself that you deserve to feel your most vibrant and true self.

– Use the breath as your closest friend to slow down your mind and gain access to the wonderful ability to feel, as that is one of our main gifts we have been given with a physical body.

– You can access stillness at any point during your day. Treat this as your sacred space where only you can go to be purely alone with yourself, at peace with the moment. If you’d like to make this a physical space, begin to picture what this may look like. It could be a hammock on a tropical island, a sunny spot in the woods or a meadow right before sunset. Wherever this space is, it will always be there for you.

– There is no growth involved when you choose to handle every life situation the same way.

– Isn’t it odd how the body benefits from movement, yet the mind benefits from stillness?

– When you cut the stem of a flower from it’s bulb or pull a plant away from its roots, it immediately begins the death process. In the same way, when humans cut themselves off from Source / The Source, we too begin to wither. It is only when we forge the deep connection to that which gives and sustains life are we able to continue growing and evolving into spiritually cognizant beings. This connection is futile for maintaining a life that has purpose beyond simply living for one’s self in an egotistic manner. When focus is given to the wellbeing of the self through genuine practices of self love and internal harmony, it will in turn benefit the collective, and we are able to see that the outer world a direct reflection of one’s internal state. Practices such as: honesty and integrity on EVERY level of life, releasing judgement and comparison, random acts of kindness, prayers of gratitude and the cultivation of calm awareness have been, in my experience, some of the most powerful ways to maintain this connection.
